Crosswinds VisionAt Crosswinds, we believe healthy churches should grow and plant other churches.  So we train our family to follow Jesus and become fishers of men.  We believe that God uses ordinary men and women to do extraordinary things in ordinary everyday things to grow His kingdom.  We teach our members how to have everyday gospel conversations so that they can share the love and hope of Jesus in very simple ways that can be duplicated from youngest to oldest.   In Acts 19, the Apostel Paul started teaching disciples to share their faith, and the bible says in 2 years, all of Asia heard the word of the Lord.  It is easy to blow by the miracle of that, but the population of that region was over 8 million people that heard just one person having a conversation with another.  This all happened before cell phones and the internet.  We seek to create that kind of gospel movement in the Chicago area today.   From our research, about 96% of the population of the area is unreached with the gospel message, even if many have a historical familiarity with Christianity.  So we are committed to making disciples who make disciples sharing His message one person to another so that new healthy gospel churches can grow across our region.

Our model for making disciples come from God's word and is called the 4 Fields Strategy based on Mark 4: 26-29

And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

God's design is to multiply his church in a very natural way just like plants grow in our fields.  So if we have a healthy church we expect to see it reproduce often and for those churches as well to reproduce.

As  Churches, we hope to be...
