The subject of the text in Luke 17:26-37 is very difficult. It speaks about what the condition of the world will be like when God comes back to bring His final judgement, but because Jesus loves us so much He wants us to be ready for that day, He tells us the truth even when it is uncomfortable.

Just like Jesus got ridiculed by His audience after the parable in Luke 16, the church often gets ridiculed when we talk about money, like that is all the church cares about. But that is definitely true at Crosswinds! One of the reasons why people object to the church preaching about money is because there are some churches that preach a false gospel of prosperity. It is true that you can’t outgive God. If you give to Him, he will give to you much more in return, not necessarily more money, that is prosperity teaching, but rather more eternal blessings.

Will you trust and serve Jesus no matter the cost? Or will you change your mind when friends and family choose not to do so? We must choose to have faith in our Savior even if the choice seems unpopular.

Jesus is the word of God and the promise of God. Jesus has ultimate true authority because he is the only son of God. The question today is- does he have true authority over you?

It is easy to think this life is all about you. But today we learn about the greatest man who ever lived that made his life all about serving the one who is truly the greatest who came to humbly serve us!

Jesus “hits send” on His followers—ordinary, unpolished people—and commissions them to proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins to all nations. He empowers them through the Holy Spirit, opening their understanding of Scripture so they grasp God’s redemptive mission. The message challenges believers to embrace their missionary identity now, trusting in God’s power rather than human adequacy.

This message, recounts Luke 24:36–47, where the resurrected Jesus appears to his fearful disciples and offers tangible proof—His wounds and eating food—that He is alive. Jesus’s bodily resurrection is God’s definitive evidence of life, bringing peace, purpose, and confidence even amid doubt and fear
