The subject of the text in Luke 17:26-37 is very difficult. It speaks about what the condition of the world will be like when God comes back to bring His final judgement, but because Jesus loves us so much He wants us to be ready for that day, He tells us the truth even when it is uncomfortable.

The parable in Luke 16 about Shrewd Manager can be a confusing one. At first glance it may appear as though Jesus is approving of the manager's dishonest behavior. Jesus is not giving any approval here for dishonesty or corruption, instead He is trying to teach us something about how we should manage our lives with integrity.

He has risen! Celebrate the resurrection of Jesus!

Jesus died to make us new. When we follow Jesus we must commit to being new. Looking back is not fit for the glory of the kingdom of God. Repent and turn from your old life of death and sin and turn to follow Jesus and let him bring you new life and life to others.

Repent, get honest and know that our partial obedience means nothing. Let us turn from our wicked ways and live by faith. Only when we humble ourselves, we may receive the righteousness of God by faith.

There are times of great success or great trial that are the pinnacles of our lives. Both can cause temptations to fear and despair. In today's message we learn from Jesus how to stand firm in our identity as loved children of God during these slippery times of temptation.

In Luke 17:11-19, Luke tells the story of 10 lepers who were healed. Nine of the lepers went away and did not thank Jesus. Only one leper came back to thank Jesus. Jesus said to this leper, "Your faith has saved you." The leper goes back to gratitude. In this message Pastor Ken asks the question, why do we need to go back to gratitude? Life can be full of disappointments. We live in a false world, and this greatly affects our attitude towards gratitude. And we have to keep reminding ourselves to repent or go back to gratitude.

Jesus “hits send” on His followers—ordinary, unpolished people—and commissions them to proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins to all nations. He empowers them through the Holy Spirit, opening their understanding of Scripture so they grasp God’s redemptive mission. The message challenges believers to embrace their missionary identity now, trusting in God’s power rather than human adequacy.

In this message, Pastor Ken emphasizes that the ultimate Bible study happens when Jesus Himself leads us through Scripture—as He did for the two disciples on the road to Emmaus—bringing clarity, conviction, and joy.

This message centers on the resurrection of Jesus as the foundation of living hope, contrasting it with superficial hopes rooted in money, health, reputation, or religion. It emphasizes that Jesus’ empty tomb is a historical fact that transcends cultural shifts and intellectual objections, giving believers unshakable confidence in God’s promises.
