Ephesians is all about God’s eternal plan to build a new society. The letter closes with a warning to be on the lookout for the enemy who wants to trip up God’s children, and some encouraging words on how to stand firm.

After addressing husbands and wives, Paul’s next topic is parenting that is influenced by the gospel (notice the order: marriage and then children).
