The subject of the text in Luke 17:26-37 is very difficult. It speaks about what the condition of the world will be like when God comes back to bring His final judgement, but because Jesus loves us so much He wants us to be ready for that day, He tells us the truth even when it is uncomfortable.

Do you realize you were made to be good? Often in in church, we talk about the fall of man or our sinful nature. The truth is we sin, every one of us, according to the bible. We all depart from God’s perfect design. The bible does not start on the depravity of man it starts with man’s and woman's design of good. We were made in God’s image and the bible says God is truly the only good thing!

Do not be anxious or worried about what others may think or say, for when the time comes the Holy Spirit will lead you in what truth you will speak.

When we're feeling alone what we need is a little contact from someone who understands. God has tender mercy for us and has made contact with us by becoming one of us. Find comfort in loneliness in the truth of the incarnation today!
