Jesus has all authority and commissions us to be personally involved in His mission to make disciples of all nations. Statements of faith aren’t much good unless they are translated into the real world. The good Samaritan showed love to his neighbor in a real way and gives us an example of what it means to be faithful, available, and teachable. Are you F.A.T.?

It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of “being a Christian” as American churchgoers define it: someone who believes in God, loves his or her family, and attends church regularly. Rather than ask, “Am I a good Christian?” we should start asking the question: "Am I a good Christ?" In this message, Pastor John shares how Jesus’ command to love one another is His premier command to obey that identifies us as His true disciples.

Jesus' incarnation was in many ways a mission trip, a cross-cultural move starker than any missionary has ever experienced. In John's gospel alone, Jesus says more than 40 times that He was a missionary from heaven who came to minister in our earthly culture. And, likewise, Jesus' commands us to be missionaries in culture. His command could not be clearer, nor more worthy to be obeyed.

The Bible tells us that at His baptism and at the cross, Jesus identified with all the sins of humanity (2 Co 5:21) to show that God knows the needs of sinners and has a plan for our forgiveness. The Bible also says that we are to identify with Him through faith – which is an unseen reality - and connect ourselves to Him through baptism and obedience as a seen reality. In this message, Pastor John describes what it means for us to be baptized "in Christ."

While the country has unemployment rates hovering around 10%, we look at a parable where Jesus teaches that His Father is like an employer who hires laborers - not because He needs workers, but because we need work. In this sermon, Pastor John explores the grace of God, and how we need to be cautious to not turn it into legalism.

What does it mean to be made for more? It does not mean you were made for more stuff, not more power, not more money not more possessions. You were not born primarily for these things. Pastor John Stillman takes a deeper look into Psalm 122 to answer the question what were we made for.
