Part of our series, You turn to Joy, that delves deeper into the parables in Luke 15. This part of the series looks at the first part of the parable of the Prodigal Son. This story speaks of God's fierce love for us and our own brokenness.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son reminds us of God's relentless pursuit of our hearts. It teaches us about the extravagant love, grace, and mercy that our Heavenly Father lavishes upon us. The rejoicing that is in this chapter can be lived day by day. We are called to rejoice with Him when lost souls are found.

This message challenges believers to live out Jesus’ call by serving others with the gifts, time, and circumstances God has given them, just as Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 12. True service is rooted in recognizing our unique roles and using what God has given us for the common good of the Church and the world.
